Well ~Son~ tomorrow is the opening day of hunting season.  You always loved this time of year and I think more for just hanging at the ranch with your buddies, drinking a little beer, and eating;  I don't think it was so much the hunt as being with your friends at the ranch.  You loved to be outside with nature. 

Duke said they have everything ready at the new ranch, one place you really never got to go. I know you'll be with them this weekend and watching over them.

Kisses For You ……

Because you’re so far away and I can’t
give you a kiss ever single day.

My daddy shot a large pretty deer today.

He got him right between the eyes.

He was a trophy and a mounted head.

My daddy he won first prize.

They took a lots of pictures after the big hunt.

Although he recieved just only one.

He couldn't hardly wait to get home

and show it to his son.

When Rocky looked  at the picture.

A tear came from Rocky's eyes.

I am so happy for you daddy

and I am a big boy.

I shouldn't, and I'm sorry if I cry.

Daddy, I bet that deer sure could run.

Just moments before he was running free.

Till you shot him with your 270 gun.

Daddy do you suppose  he had a little son

who loved him as I do you.

There'd be no one to protect him as only

a daddy do.

Then I though to myself what a wonderful

son.

Then I turned and said to my wife

This trophy I have in my hands

will haunt me for the rest of my life.
